Makeup can be used to boost ones appearance. Makeup items like lipstick, blush and eye shadow are generally called cosmetics. However, they also incorporate perfumes, skin care products, powders, colored contacts, lotions, creams and sunscreen. Makeup has been in use from the time when the Ancient Egyptians, Romans and Greeks first started using kohl to attract attention to their eyes and berry stain on their lips for better color. In that era, men used cosmetics as regularly as women.
