Many people want to exercise regularly, but have difficulty making time to exercise. This is often true when they have an active lifestyle that does not allow any more activities to be added to the schedule. Pull up bars remove the need to have a planned activity schedule. Once the bar is installed, it is easy to perform some repetitions of pull-ups and complimentary exercises when passing the doorway where the bar is installed.

When you are deciding which type of pull up bar to use, space will be a consideration. If you get a bar that fits in a doorway, you will want to make sure that the area where you put your bar has space. Once you get use to exercising on the bar, you will be spreading out and it will be easier if you don’t have to worry about knocking anything over.

There are two types of doorway bars. One is secured permanently to the doorway with screws and brackets. These bars don’t look like they would hold your weight, but they are made of heavy duty metal and will hold up to three hundred pounds easily.

If you travel a lot you will find that the mobile pull up bars make the perfect compliment to your exercise routine. These bars do not mar or scratch the doorway and can be used in hotels, motels, or buildings where the size of the doorway is the correct size. Unlike permanent bars, the mobile ones are more lightweight and can be easily packed in a suitcase.

Doorway pulls strengthen the biceps, back, and chest. There are many different exercises that you can do using the bar that will also work on your core and abs. Some of the bars have foam padded hand grips that allow the user to do pull ups without the bar becoming slippery. Other bars of a foam padding across the entire bar that absorb moisture and keep your hands in place when you are exercising.

Any doorway that has at least a four inch width in it’s walls and overhead trim will hold the bars successfully. Mobile bars also need the four inch width to be used successfully. With the mobile bars, the counterweight that holds the bar in place must be solid and you need to be able to reach the bar easily.

When you are comparing the bars you will want to check the warranty on the bar and make sure of the amount of weight it can support. There are several bars that are made with a specific body weight and type in mind. Some of the bars are made of a lighter weight material than the standard bars.

Once the bar is installed in your home, you will have an opportunity to grab a quick exercise routine each day without needing to get dressed and go to a gym. Doing pull-ups on a regular daily schedule can begin to sculpt your body very quickly and you will begin to notice that you are able to increase your cardio stamina as you are building strength in your upper body muscle groups.

One of the problems that many people have with a regular exercise regime is that the equipment to get a good work out can take up a lot of space. When a person uses pull up bars specifically doorway pull up bar, this is no longer a problem.
