About the Idaho Chapter

The Idaho chapter was founded in 2006 by Pam Vannoy, the parent of a son who is profoundly deaf, and who, with his bi-lateral cochlear implants, uses only oral communication to hear and speak (communicate).

The chapter was started by a group of concerned parents of auditory-oral deaf or hard of hearing children, professionals in related fields, and other stakeholders, who shared the vision of educating other parents, professionals, and the general public in Idaho, that children who are deaf or hard of hearing can learn how to hear, listen, and speak using oral communication.

Please feel free to contact us if we can be a resource to you or your family, or if you have information that can add to the breadth of this site.
